A pretty comfortable 2.5 hr flight Bali to KL with Air Asia. Then 2 hours eating in the enormous KL airport.
Get on the plane to Beijing and they didnt take off for almost 2 hours due to storms. Arrived at Beijing about 3 in the morning but at least immigration was a breeze. We got our free 144hr transit visa and we were through in 10 minutes.
Our pickup took us to the airbnb and we were finally in bed by about 4am. Heart of Beijing is a great place ($65 per night). A traditional family home in a hutong (small alley). We have a huge double room with ensuite toilet and shower. There is a kitchen just for us and a nice outdoor area.
A boring and tiring
